2021 Women's History Month with Senator Reed

Women's Fund of Rhode Island celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2021. In the past twenty years, they have been a part of major coalitions and legislative campaigns that have resulted in better policies for women and girls in Rhode Island. Join Senator Reed and Women’s Fund or Rhode Island for a panel discussion to celebrate Women’s History Month. We’ll be discussing the long-term positive impact these policies have had and what else we can build on to make them even stronger. Women's Well-Being Index panel discussion

The Rhode Island Women’s Well-Being Index is a multifaceted, composite measure that consists of five “dimensions”: Health, Personal Safety, Employment & Earnings, Economic Security, and Political Empowerment. Each dimension will be composed of six indicators that have been standardized and combined to create dimension scores, on a scale from zero to 100, for each of Rhode Island’s counties. The five dimension scores will create an overall Women’s Well-Being Index score for each county in Rhode Island. This database will is the first centralized source of its kind in Rhode Island.
